Integrity Modeler Doors Sync - using Doors user views with filters

For both synchronisation directions between Integrity Modeler (IM) and Doors it would be very userful to base the synchronization not only on a Doors-capter but also on a predefined doors-view (incl. filters).

Example:

Requirements shall be synchronized from Doors to IM. The Doors module contains requirement and information objects but only the requirements shall be synchronized. The two variants (requ and info) have different object type attributes in Doors. A applied filter for requirements can be saved in a Doors user view, thus this view only contains the requirements.

With the new option it would be possible to synchronize only the requirements even if they are in Doors in a mixes chapter with other not needed objects.

The option could be added as a additional selction menue in mapping settings, i. e.:

Thanks for the idea, this is something that has been requested informally already by BMW, and others.

We agree this would be a good feature but we have no current plans to implement due to other higher priorities.

The requirement remains open in our system with the ID "ART11-21647007".

The workarounds we have are:

- set up user defined filter DXL and setting CanRead to return FALSE

- or copy only required objects to another module.

Alternatively, if this is a significant issue you can raise a Support case (provide the requirement ID above) and we will review and re-assess the priority.
