If a user has Locked a Document, usually it is expected that there are changes that would be carried out. After the changes are carried out, the changes would reflect in the History of the Item.
Given the above situation, why is it necessary to add it to History since the changes done during the Lock would be recorded?
Lock Document and Unlock Document are user gestures or CLI commands that act on a document. The expectation is that this interaction of user with the document is recorded somewhere in History. As you are aware, userA can lock the document for some purpose, but userB with the same group privileges can unlock the document. We would prefer to see both user interactions with the document in History.
