Currently all existing fields can be added to the view, but this doesn't make sense because most aren't visible in the item type. This overloads the user with irrelevant options.
I know a filter option exists, but it is buggy. Furthermore, the filter shouldn't be optional. Fields that aren't visible on the item type are irrelevant, and thus it shouldn't even be possible to add them as columns to the view.
