Currently it is only possible to open the test result editor from View Item mode or from Items View (query results) or from Relationships View.

It would be an enhancement to make it possible to open the test result editor from the Edit Item View of a Test Session.

Hello Kartik,

We have the test activities planned with Test Objectives. Now the tester is going to start the test activity. He creates a new Test Session and fills in the data. The Test Session is now open in edit mode. The tester changes the state of the Session to In Testing. The Session is still open in edit mode. If the tester now wants to record test results, he has to close the already open Test Session and re-open it in view item mode (or go to the related Test Objective) to be able to open the result editor.

If it would be possible to open the result editor from edit mode, then the steps "close Test Session" and "reopen Test Session in view item mode" wouldn't be required. That would enhace the usability by reducing required interaction steps.
