Hi Everyone,

I was trying to test some Basic and important Use Case almost needed by everyone , in Doc Studio with version 12.2.1.1 and found couple of things that must be there and very important :-

1.) Once Reviewer make his/her comments and Documents gets back to Draft/Open state. So Assigned User OR Created By whosever responsible for making changes in Document Content's should see Reviewer Comments and Edit Content Window on same screen. Currently if we see the Reviewer Comments on that window we/user can't edit Content and need to switch window to edit the content but then Reviewer Comments are not visible.

 

2.) When Reviewer make his/her comments and Documents gets back to Draft/Open state and to Assigned User/Created By whosever responsible, Responsible person can't copy Reviewer Comments and paste it into Edit Content Window. (FYI: If there is single comment done by reviewer then it works but if there is more than one comments then this don't work , totally looks like a bug). Important thing is during document maturing phase most of the things works on copy paste mechanism, no one wants to re-type again.

 

What you thought on this? As i had a WebEx with PTC Support as well they suggested to raise a idea and might be get solved in future release.

From my side, I can absolute agree. For the review use-case it is absolutely necessary that in the edit mode to see the review but also important is that a cut & past works proper, because more than 50% of the review text get pasted in to the requirement.

The idea suggested is of utmost importance. I don't think there will be much disagreement of this. Really would like to see this soon. Nice of you to point it out Kapil.

We have introduced the editing of the Document while referring to review comments in the same DocStudio window in the Windchill RV&S 13.0 release. Also, we have already supported the copying of the reviewer's comments in the earlier releases of Windchill RV&S.
