A simple feature like "Search and Replace", within Lifecycle Manager, would be extremely valuable. Search without replace is vastly more time consuming.
Is this "Find&Replace"-Functionality in the new web UI usabel to replace a text in a whole document or only in one requirement? If it's only working in one requirement than it's nearly useless or at least extremely cumbersome.
I request PTC to enhance/improve "Find and Replace" functionality in PTC RV&S, currently user is able to "Find and Replace" when a section inside a document is selected. Whereas It would be more useful "Find and Replace" which works on complete document is implemented.
For ex: Select the root document and search for text which gives instances for text in complete document and replace If user wants.
Users want to work/create/update documents in PTC RV&S, Find and Replace is a common functionality used when working on large document, Surprisingly not available🤔
Upvoted this idea. We are looking for a "Find and Replace" or "Search and Replace" throughout the document. Current functionality only works within a single field in an item.
From a research point of view, we are currently looking at the front & back end design to achieve this. This may have to be designed as a fire and forget given the number of content items that would have to be trawled through vs preselected content that the user wants to run this on are some of the possibilities that are being reviewed.
