I work for a defense contractor and my role is Software Developer. Our stakeholders are test engineers who test products developed by our affiliated company.

Windchill RV&S (Integrity), Version 12.4
3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.
I support a C# .net application that is a supplemental application to Windchill RV&S. This .net application is used by test engineers to create test results and then they later sync those results into Windchill RV&S. Currently this .net application can only be compiled as a 32 bit application because the API library that this application uses to interact with Windchill, only supports a 32 bit architecture.
This library file is a dll file named "MKS.ManagedAPI.dll" and it is extracted from the Visual Studio Integration for Windchill. I had previously contacted PTS Support and was told that at this time, only a 32 bit integration for Visual Studio is available. As a result, the "MKS.ManagedAPI" file that I extracted for the integration for version 12.4 only supports a 32 bit architecture.
We would like to compile our .net application as a 64 bit application because we want to increase the memory available on this application and as a result, increase it's performance. We have had a few instances where we have pushed against memory constraints and this has led to a degradation in the performance of the application. With 32 bits, we only have up to 2 GB available, but with a 64 bit integration, we would have 4 GB available to use.
A 64 bit integration for Visual Studio would be very beneficial for our organization with respect to this C# .net application. Our application would be more robust and would allow for greater scalability with respect to the data that our engineers download.
4. What is the use case for your organization?
Our stakeholders, the test engineers who work in our affiliated company, utilize this application to create test results and they are able to use this application on a Windows tablet and then later sync results with Windchill.
