Sharing an another idea:-
What we have already:-
When we go to Test Result tab let's say in Test Session we have an option "View Test Result" against each result which launches the Test Result View Window as shown in below picture:-
This is an OOTB functionality which launches this wonderful screen in view mode represents all details around Test Result.
Idea:-
There should be an mechanism to open this window via Client URL link and then that link can really be beneficial which can be used across integrity (like in reports, longtext field etc.) to launch/pop up this window and link can be something like:-
integrity://<hostname>:<hostport>/im/viewresult?selection=1234:5678 and encoded to integrity://<hostname>:<hostport>/im/viewresult?selection=1234%3A5678 where 1234 is Session ID and 5678 is the Test Case ID.
Pros:-
1. We don't need to read all fields one by one from Test result window if details are only required for viewing purpose, simply we can provide this window on clickable link.
2. More beneficial in Reports.
3. No need to create/maintain extra report related with this.
