Update API to generate URLs (Integrity)

It is very helpful to have URLs for the Http/GUI clients to reference items, members and projects in external reports etc.

But as far as I can see the API does not provide the functionality to generate these URLs.

Please add a function to do this, so that the URLs can be reliably generated in java generators.

Also, I do not think there is the ability to generate the URL built-into the client. This too would be helpful.

Do you mean weblink? We have added customized solution that generates weblink based on custom action. I hope you aware that Integrity sets environment variable "MKSSI_XXX" when environment is set from running instance. With this, you could able to get the selected project or member and even login information. So by this mean, you could form the http or integrity URL. Yes I agree such functionalities should be provided by integrity itself and fortunately they hold good CLI option to customize of own.

@skamaraj I am aware that we can extend the tool to add this functionality and we have done so too. But I feel this should be out of the box! Also I would like to see the ability to copy a configuration path which when pasted into a application capable of hyperlinks (e.g. word) that the Configuration path is hyperlinked! 

I am aware of the MKSSI_xxx environment variables.

With the last few releases of Windchill RV&S keeping focusing on the Refreshed Web UI - the above suggestion at the moment does not fit into the product's long-term plan.  Closing it as No Plans to Implement.
