Variant Selector - provide a search function

Hello,

we are working with variability models with up to ~800 variation points. Executing the variant selector and navigating to a specific area in the variability model is sometimes quite difficult. Therefore a search function for easier navigation would be highly appreciated.

I've added this requirement to our database - ID is ART17-15865000.

We are currently planning Modeler 8.5 so will evaluate if we have capacity for this enhancement.

I'll provide an update here once we confirm our plans..

This feature will not make Modeler 8.5 but we will consider for the next release.

As you know, in Modeler 8.5 we will be introducing ordering of items in the Variant Selector and filtering of VPs based on maturity, both of which will help users locate and manage large numbers of items.
