We should be able to pass command parameters through a file (RFC 151512)

Command parameters such as im issues --fields=... --query=... may include spaces and require quotation marks around them. This can make formatting difficult in some situations. If these parameters can be defined through a file then it isn't an issue. It would also make some automated interactions easier.
