control participant access on Document Import/Export in Integrity Workflow & Documents module

Presently, Integrity Gateway Wizard provides a mechanism to import and export Documents from Integrity. But there is no way to control the import / export permission. If a user has read permission on Document then, user can import / export the document. However, there can be a scenario where you want to restrict export or import of any confidential documents to privileged participants only. There can be another scenario where you do not want certain documents instances  to go out of system. There must some mechanism to set ACLs for Document Import/Export in Integrity Workflow & Documents module.

This sounds more like a question than a product idea, I think you should explain what you have in mind.

I read this as "there should be permissions and controls for the Gateway module", but I may be wrong.

I agree that we need ways to control who has the right to import and who has the right to export, and I can't think of a way to do that at present.

Hi Witc,

This requirement is very well known to me. It is a must have in safety critical environments.

Please let me summarize how I have understood the need:

a) Based on an individually defined document classification (such as internal restricted, internal, external restricted and external) an export is limited or generally forbidden (impossible for the user)

b) There could also become a group definition in place to say, that only users in group XYZ are allowed to export

c) There can also be a need to restrict document export on project level, lets say in project ABC there is noone anymore allowed to export any document at all.

Please check these individual use cases and priorize them. If needed, please add more.
