Hi, after having our test suite, we want to create a bunch of test cases in it which works automatically with: im createcontent... I am adding an option here to fill in the field in our test case called "text" with the option: --field="Text=Test123" Now we have the problem that we almost always have a text with newlines in it! In the test case itself I can simply write a text with newline but when I give the command I somehow need the escape character for a newline which is not "\n". So I need to give the command as: im createcontent --parent .... --field="Text=line1\nline2\line3" ... But as I said, the \n is not recognized by integrity so it simply writes the \n as it is. Java-based PTC products like Windchill RV&S are now supporting alternatives to Oracle like Amazon Corretto. Most of the Modeler functionality does not need Java, however the XMI Import/Export requires currently Oracle Java RTE, 32bit. When you are working with Catia V5 in Windchill WGM you are able to manage so like different Customer environment(Catia Release is missing there). Same functionality should be added for NX or maybe also other CAD application. We have to manage files from different customers with different NX version and environments. Hi Community, The needed of using environment variables (ex. JAVA_HOME) which are not the same on the users machine as you know, it imposes on us the possibility to use variables. Currently, in a PTC Integrity for document types there is no global search & replace mechanism to search for and replace text. In addition, the search string should be highlighted in color. Around Windchill RV&S Version 11 the default behavior of viewsegment command has been adapted. Since then  the viewsegment command re-uses existing (open) document view. But if contentID is used along viewsegment command the client will always open a new view. Such is quite annoying for our users.The user must be able to configure default behavior thru Client preferences. ... There are often times where a project wants to share some issues or documents with one or more other projects. Today, we deal with this by either branching the document, copying the issue, or creating an "integration project" which is a new project that shares the security groups of the original project. Each of these addresses the need in some way, but they all fall short in one way or another.    For instance, the "integration project" allows two or more project groups to collaborate on a set of issues/documents, however, it also clutters the project filter and forces users to track many different projects under the same umbrella.   A more ideal solution would be to allow an issue or document to be shared with another project such that people from either project can view it and those with appropriate roles from either can edit it.  ... Scenario Open RV&S and select a project using the Project Filter Open a document Close the client without exiting Reopen the client The document will be still open but there is no project selected anymore.   I would like to make the project selection persistent. Hello,   As all we know as Integrity Administrator we should have to see the number of queries created, shared with users/groups. Integrity Client which gives java heap space error when a large number of queries created/shared with users it is due to the 32bit integrity client limitation and Integrity Client does not give any warning message to the user or Integrity Administrator.  As an administrator, it becomes difficult to get query list(Created by, Shared with, Modified by, Last accessed by) in one click. So it will be beneficial to have a query dashboard for Administrator & warning message to the user if the user consuming more client memory.   Thanks, Sandeep  ... View more

Hi Community, Sharing a very useful and new idea coming into my mind for the moment, Please take a look and feel free to come in comment box to share your views and feedbacks :-   For Admin :- 1) On every Type Admin should be able to configure fields to show in history tab for end user, As of now all fields change comes into the history tab and in some scenarios it makes confusion for end user and makes a very long list for the history page that affect the performance in terms of type loading.   2) Or field relevance rule should also apply to history tab, it means if any field is configured as never relevant on Type it should never come in History and if any field is only relevant to me then it's history should also visible to me only.   For End User :- 1) End user should have a option in History Tab to see history of any specific field rather then searching it throughout tab. E.g. I am a end user going in History Tab of let's say Test Plan and i only want to see the history of a specific field "Test Plan Run Count" then i should have a option to select from list of all visible fields to me on that type and then a pop window should come which shows entire history of only that field including historical value, Modified Date and Modified By. Creating a query is major part of the day to day activity of integrity users, and we do come across situation while creating queries wherein we would have to swap AND with OR and vice versa. As we do not have the option to swap AND and OR we are forced to remove everything and do the entire query from scratch. We do have the swap button available in other places like;"Set notification", Field Relevance rule, constraints and also also while creating Trigger rules.
