This is a product idea conversion of case 12444712 and RFC 1031765 from March of 2015.

 

Some test cases will be stored in a centrally controlled area. Multiple projects will be executing the test case in their respective test sessions. The test sessions will contain attributes important to future change orders (change requests/defects). When a test case fails, we want the new change order to inherit the project and other common fields from the executed test session.

 

Test Case: Turn on the machine

  • 100 Projects execute this test case.
  • The test case fails for Project 99
    • Change order is submitted through the test results editor
  • The change order should be logged against project 99 with common fields copied to the newly created item.
