user must be able to define “viewsegment” command thru Integrity Client preferences

Around Windchill RV&S Version 11 the default behavior of viewsegment command has been adapted. Since then  the viewsegment command re-uses existing (open) document view. But if contentID is used along viewsegment command the client will always open a new view. Such is quite annoying for our users.The user must be able to configure default behavior thru Client preferences.

There is No Plan to Implement and change the behavior in the Swing UI.

Hello Ivica,

                     The Refreshed Web UI does not have an exact or 1-1 map with the Desktop Client or CLI. This is an entirely different user experience, and there are actions that users can invoke based on their needs. To cite an example, if you are looking at a list of your favorite queries, you have a ready action that can take you to the view where you want to work. Hope that helps.
