Advanced Configurable Part vs Configurable Part???

I'm using PDMLink 9.1, and it looks like they introduced a new concept of 'advanced configurable parts' in addition to 'configurable parts', but I can't seem to find a definition of the former, and what really differentiates the two other than when I build a product structure and create a variant spec, I can't request any deliverables if I have advanced configurable parts as end-nodes in my part structure. And this makes sense, but now Im wondering why it works to have configurable parts as end nodes in my product structure tree? Can someone explain this to me? thanks,

I just started to get acquainted with Windchill.

My view that 'advanced configurable part' in Windchill 9.1 = 'generic part' in Windchill 9.0 and it has not new functionality ('Option and Variants' in Windchill 9.0/9.1).

But 'configurablepart' - new in Windchill 9.1 and it's managed by 'Option filter'.

For 'configurablepart'it's possible export to the external systemSuperBOM and 'Option Filter' for him.

But what is exported for the 'advanced configurable part' into the system like ERP?SuperBOM with rules or explicit BOM?
