Another problem with Intralink 3.4 M060 client install

Another problem with Intralink 3.4 M060 client install, this one happens to
be my home machine. One that I desperately need so I don't have to live at
work.

I copied the loadpoint to c:\ptc as I have done with 7 other installs. Run
ptcsetup.bat from the bin folder. With my machine ptcsetup crashes
immediately. The error message is the common WindowsXP message:
"Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire from PTC has encountered a problem and needs to
close." with those all too familiar send or don't send error report
buttons. The error report is copied below if your interested.

PTC says it's an O.S. problem & to use the install disks. This morning I
attempt that with the same result when running set-up (SETUP.EXE) from the
M060 disk. Firewall off/on, everything killed in the start-up (using
msconfig). This is a new build of XP, just installed it last weekend.
Patched up to SP3. This same machine has worked very well running
Intralink3.4 (M011) & Pro over our VPN for quite some time now.

What is weird about this problem is that ptcsetup from the WF2.0M280 works
fine. My computer's fresh XP install just can't run any setup from M060
disk or from the loadpoint deployment of M060 folder I've used for 7 clients
(so far)! I've booted back to my old WinXP build, SP3 & all, & installed
M060 from the CDs, no problem. Currently I am copying the load point
folders for WF2.0 M280 & WF4.0 M040. I saved my old build & it's available
if I change the boot order, just for a situation like this.

My machine's info is on the attached .htm from CPUID.

Anyone see this one before & found a fix? SETUP.EXE or
ptcsetup.bat crashing when executed?

Regards,
Joe S.

Another problem with Intralink 3.4 M060 client install

Update!

Intralink M060 installs & works fine on the same exact hardware on my old XP
load. But setup will not run on my fresh XP install. Very strange.
