Apache update to 2.4.58

Hi ,

We are using windchill PDM link 12.0.2.7  and we need to update Apache version from 2.4.54.0 to 2.4.58.

As per PTC ,  i can update Apache to 2.4.57 with CPS 15.
The next patch CPS 16 is releasing on 20 Dec 2023.

So Can i achieve Apache version 2.4.58 by installing CPS 16?  Is the patch going to available in cps 16 or not?

Thanks.

Kind of surprised, 2.4.58 is not in CPS 16 (per CPS notes), although it was released with WC 13.0.1.0 which came out almost 10 days ago

The patches are cumulative, so CPS 16 will include the latest version of Apache

Is it confirmed that Apache will be updated in CPS 16? Is it always updated with each CPS? I thought it was just sometimes updated.

The latest version of Apache is bundled with the CPS's since they are cumulative. At least 2.4.58 will be included with CPS16. The OP needs to update Apache, and wanted to skip CPS15 since CPS16 is almost out.

PTC has been getting more pressure to update third party components as soon as new patches are available - so you should expect that if Apache, SOLR, Tomcat etc. are updated, then a soon released CPS will also update these. This is a good thing. PTC's Application Security folks have been on the ball since before all of the Log4j issues popped up a couple of years ago.

I guess I jumped the gun, for some reason thinking 15 had 2.4.58 in it... That being said, I would think 16 will have 2.4.58
