Auto resolve incomplete objects setting

We've been having the occasional issue with incomplete objects ("ghosts") appearing when we work on certain files.

We have been selecting the "Auto resolve incomplete objects --> Update with object on server then ignore" setting and would like to make itthedefault behavior.

Is there a way to make that the default setting? I've looked through Pro/E config options and Windchill user preferences but haven't found anything that looks like it. Perhaps there's a Windchill configuration option for this?

I know this exploder thread is pretty old now, but came across it while trying to do the same thing. By searching the Windchill preferences (9.1) I discovered the option below, which does the trick, checking the 'Auto Resolve' box during checkin. May help others out there:
