Autodesk Plant3D and Windchill Integration

Hello All,

Is it possible to integrate Plant3D with Windchill?

If yes, what is the procedure to integrate? Do we need a start up script?

Kind regards

Pranav

You will need a Work Group Manager module for AutoCAD but they only support base AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Mechanical. I don't know what is in the files that make them different, but you could try to use the base AutoCAD WGM. To me, a dwg is a dwg and the WGM should be able to handle them without special versions. The only thing I can think of is the ability to handle component files used in Mechanical and Electrical.

Hi Ben

Thank you for your reply.

I agree with you that base Autocad WGM should handle dwg files created by Plant3D, but just wanted to check if someone has already using it.

Also we only want to use Windchill as a document management system(DMS) to store and manage these files, for iterations/revisions.

What do you think about this?

Regards,

Pranav
