Baseline & Managed Collection Questions

Hello,

Currently we have a manual process utilizing promotion requests, and have a goal of utilizing Windchill functionality to review and release without using an ECN:



1. Can you promote a baseline?

2. Can you promote a managed collection?

3. Can you show out-of-date status in either?

4. Can a baseline be updated from the baseline tool?

Managed basline are not version controlled and hence not illigble for promotion , howver you can do the follwing to change basline state :

1) Grant "Set State" for baselines for some principals.
2) Assign advanced lifecycle template and then execute the promote workflow.
