When a supplier provides a STEP file, should the CAD be attached to the OEM part or the supplier part?
If you are talking about SUMA, I typically associate to the OEM part since that is what appear on BOM and in CAD. I have never explored option of allowing supplier parts directly on BOMs and common use except for AML/AVL linkage.
