Hi:
We are moving from Windchill 8 to 10.1 and we have large multilevel family tables that we use for standard parts like plates and Tubes. Now that Windchill is going to require us to check out every instance on a multilevel family table part when we want to make a change we are looking at breaking them up into single level family tables.
ie. _hsstube with lower level generics _hsstube-a, _hsstube-b, _hsstube-c & _hsstube-d
_hsstube
_hsstube-a
_hsstube-b
_hsstube-c
_hsstube-d
would become: _hsstube-a, _hsstube-b, _hsstube-c & _hsstube-d
_hsstube-a
_hsstube-b
_hsstube-c
_hsstube-d
What is the best methodology for doing this?
Note that these are large family tables with 600-1200 instances in them.
Thanks.
