Hello, We are investigating PDMLink R9 or greater. (Currently we use Windchill 8.0to driveItem Masters, BOMs and Change Management. We currently use Pro/INTRALINK 3.4 to manage Pro/ENGINEER CAD data) Question 1: Is it totally naive to think that we can have totally Pro/ENGINEER driven BOMs in PDMLink with a user community of approx 200 users in operation for over 15 years? I think it is all about how clean/dirty your models are. Our average BOM size is between30 - 100 items. At best we are 75% clean. With tighter and tighter project schedules and concentration on time to market, our users do what they have to meet deadlines. There are no controls or checks on the models with respect to if it has all the items it is supposed to, or if the assembly structure is matching Windchill, or if the quantities match. Question 2: Does anyone exclusively have their Pro/ENGINEER BOMs drive the Windchill BOM? (All "active" or "owner" driven?) If yes, how do you make this happen? Question 3:
If you use PDMLink, do you recommendseparating the Eng BOM vs.Mfg BOM, and other BOM functionality that I may not be aware of?
