Hi All-
Has anyone ever tried to get the value of a Windchill preference and using it for calculations in a Cognos report.
The use case is:
- We have a Need Date for a Change Request (CR);
- Engineering (ENG) needs to finish a number of days before the CR Need Date;
- In WT there is a Preference containing the number of days needed by ENG;
- The calculated Engineering Need Date would then become CR Need Date - ENG Days;
- Engineering Need Date would be shown in the report alongside the CR Need Date.
I can imagine this is not an uncommon scenario and wonder if anyone has ever done this (and how).
