We have a family table checked into PDM Link 9.1 M050 that has a parameter that was defined as a String type. We now want to change that parameter to a Real Number type. Unfortunately PDM Link won't allow this as it keeps track in the database the parameter and its type. Once you define it as one type you cannot change it to another. The valueType column in the EPMParameterDefinition table is holding this information. I was thinking of changing the value in this table from a String to a Real Number. I know it is risky and not supported by PTC. Anyone else ever dealt with this issue? Any workarounds?
