Changing Display Name of Product Manager

Hi,
How have you handled this problem?

OOTB the Product Manger role is the Windchill 'Admin' for a context. We use it as such.

We are implementing some involvement our Product Manager in our workflows. I want to keep the users from confusing the two and selecting the wrong group in the Promotion Request Wizard

I am considering changing the display name of the OOTB Product Manager role to 'WC Context Admin'. Anyone done that?

Yes.
It's very easy and have had no issues after renaming my Members role.


1. Launch Enumerated Type Customization Utility

a. In a Windchill Shell

enumcustomize

b. Browse to \wt\project and select RoleRB.RB.ser

c. Add or Edit entries as necessary

d. Save & Exit

2. Compile

ant\bin\ant -f bin/tools.xml bundle_custom -Dbundle.forceCompile=true -Dbundle.input=registry

ant -f codebase/MakeJar.xml custUpdate

3. Restart Windchill

a. Stop Windchill and Tomcat

b. Clear Tomcat cache.

c. Start Windchill and Tomcat.

I believe that clearing the Tomcat cache isn't actually necessary here.
