Conflict on two different environment of windchill

Hi

Background :

There is no data loaded into windchill initially. Below is what we are trying to do:

Dummy data is as below :

  • asm1.asm
  • prt1.prt
  • asm2.asm

One part (prt1) is common and being used by both parent assembly (asm1 and asm2). What we are doing is as below:

Directory1 has prt1 and asm1 where as Directory2 has asm2 (prt1 is not available in folder2)

First of all, open asm1 from Directory1 and try to do checkin of asm1. It is successful. Remove CAD from work space. Now, open asm2 from Directory2 and missing prt1 is auto retrieved from windchill. Do checkin and now we have all 3 CAD object checked in.

Problem Description:

This is what it is on windchill configuration one.We have another setup of windchill. Above same scenario with same data is tried out. For directory2 checkin, it results into conflict window. Conflict is asking for readonly object checkout for prt1.

Query :

What is there in windchill setup 1 which doesn't ask for conflict? In other words, what could be done on setup 2 of windchill to avoid which where we are getting as of now?

Any hint would be of great help..

Is there some config option either in Creo / Windchill for this ?
