Create folders in workspace?

In Windchill 9.0, is there functionality to create a folder in your workspace, and then check that folder in to your project or library container? I don't think this functionality exists, probably by intention, but I just wanted to see what others thought. Thank you!

I have long thought this would be a great option.

It could be used to put production parts that would be locked and not modifiable.

Ex. If I need a production assy, which I have no modifying rights and view only, so I can build tooling around that assembly.
