Hello Community,
I have an assembly with a section that has some parts excluded from the section under "Sectioning" -> "Intersect with All" -> "Remove Selected".
I can save this as an Annotation Set, and the section even is displayed correctly in the Thumbnail View. However, when I open this Annotation Set later, the parts that were excluded from the section are displayed as sectioned again (i.e. all parts are displayed as sectioned, including the parts that i Had excluded from the section).
Why is that so, and how can I permanently exclude the desired parts from the section?
The easiest way I have found to do this is to create a group, and then add components to hide into that group (you can simply drag them to the group, or use some logic to auto populate it. When you open the model, then you just hide that group.
Thanks and sorry for the late reply, somehow I was not notified of your answer.
However, please note that this is not about hiding components, but about excluding components from a section. This can be done in the ribbon under "Sectioning", in the "Intersect with All" ribbon area to the right of that ribbon.
It happens to me all the time with more complex CAD models where I have removed certain components from a section.
However, the next time I open the model in CreoView, the excluded components are included in the section again.
Why is that and how can we fix it?
