Creo View Representations Missing

All,

I've had this recurring problem for what feels like forever and PTC hasn't been able to find a solution other than "it must be a network issue", which our internal IT guys checked out and found not to be the case. The only thing in that regard that PTC suggested to check was that the accounts being used had full admin access, which they do.

Now, the problem occurs nearly every day and, when contacted, PTC just asks for the same log files over and over.

Hopefully somebody has seen something similar.

*         Representations are created upon check in of an EPMDocument.

*         The CAD worker is on the server

*         When viewed/printed, a date-stamp watermark is applied.

*         During the night backup is taken of the Windchill DS LDIF, the cache is cleared (tomcat\instances & tasks\codebase\com\infoengine\compiledTasks), creo view .log files are deleted.

*         Windchill services are brought back online.

Here is where things get messed up.

*         All representations are missing. This started out happening less than 5% of the time, but has since moved on to 80%+ mornings.

*         If anyone checks in an EPMDoc while representations are missing, it still creates a representation but the watermark is not applied when viewing/printing.

*         Upon stopping and starting Windchill service manually after I get to work (so, around 8:00) all representations are once again available (with the watermark).

I've gotten so desperate that I've created a second .bat file that the only function is to restart Windchill services prior to the early shift showing up (5:30), but that hasn't made a difference. I've been at a loss for quite a while, and it appears that PTC is at a loss, too. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

You are certain of a clean shutdown correct, no hanging processes?
CADworker is offline simultaneously?

How is database backed up? You mentioned only DS?
Configuration of redos? What brand or version DB?
