Creo number generation

Hello.

We are trying to auto number creo models and drawings from Windchill.

Now the setting is: number = file name.

Can this be configured to: number = number generated from Windchill?

We are using Creo parametric 2 and Windchill 10.1.

Any help is appreciated

You can enforce autonumbering of Creo files that are created using File > New in Creo by using a custom naming service class. The customization is pretty simple. Refer to CS172880 for more information on how to do this.

In the example provided the CAD files will get assigned an autogenerated number upon upload, but the filename and Windchill Name will remain as whatever was specified in the File > New dialog.

Is it possible to push autonumber based on part classification?

Example: CAD file for screw in our company starts with 155-xxx-xxxx, Bracket starts with 097-xxx-xxxx.
