Custom role(s) available for team

Custom role(s) available for team

We have created 3 new custom roles and I can see the roles at Org. level roles and Product. They are not available to select when assigning roles editing a team template.


I remember there is a something else I need to set but I do not have my notes with me. I have added the roles to the 'Fixed roles to promote" in preferences.

Check that enabled column shows true for them at the organization level.

Also, try to do a MakeJar and restart the server (after clearing the cache).

We've the same issue and we don't know how to resolve it.

Here are some other things you can try.  If you want to use in a Team Template, and adding them at org level in the UI doesn't work, then probably what is needed is to modify RoleRB file.

Thaks Ben, but nothing changed.

I can see my new roles in Product Team level and any interfaces level but I can't see the new roles by the applet (team administrator).

Following the steps followed:

1. we changed  roleRB.rbinfo  under <WT_HOME>\wt_custom\project

2 . we ran :

ResourceBuild.sh wt.project.RoleRB true

ant - f bin/tools.xml bundle_custom -Dbundle.input=registry

ant -f codebase/MakeJar.xml custUpdate

3. Stopped Windchill (clear the cache tomcat and  <wt_home>\tasks\
