DTI changes values in Excel after downloading

Version: Windchill 11.1

Use Case: Managing MS Excel with Windchill DTI

Description:

before upload, a field has the attribute wc_version
after downloading the DIT from the object. the cell value is no longer wc_version but has the wc_version value of the attribute.
Any idea how this is happening or how to prevent it?

Hi,

Since you are uploading for the first time, before the upload the value was nothing it was not not yet a windchill object, hence just holding an empty value, once uploaded, the value of windchill version (wc_version) will be populated to that attribute in the excel sheet. This comes from the Document object attribute, which inturn gets value from Windchill.

This seems to work as per spec.

When you upload after edit again, it will bump up the wc_version value to sync with Windchill document object's version.

Cheers

Hari
