Hi @Blacksmith

Now days any subscription license contains the ProjectLink.

Third option is use the Project Plans in the Context Product where you can have multiple Project plan with execution and automatization.

Also you can combinate the Project Plan with workflow on the Documents.

There are many options how to deal with document management but if you say drawing I expect that you will also manage CAD data so change management.

btw Change Management is not in the Project context as PR,CR,ECN .

There's probably infinite ways to manage projects and documents. It all depends on your business requirements!

Start with identifying the stakeholders in your organization, and ask them what the system needs to do for them. Do they need new workflows to manage new things? Or do they have existing processes that can be improved by migrating them to Windchill?

Thanks. mate.

We are planning to migrate to windchill to manage project timeline and activity data come from the whole process of project in digital. The type of data might be Drawings, excels, ppts or PDF files. etc.

I think there are two different way to manage it .

One is to create a mechanical document and set a customized lifecycle template and workflow.

Another one is to use ProjectLink function module . And I am not sure if we can buy it or not .

Can you help to check if there is a third way or not .Also compare the benefits of each . I am a new starter who lack of experience.
