Editing a layout

Editing a layout

When I edit a 'Create New Layout' to add an additional attribute, I get this message when I go to save it: "The type that you are trying to update was originally created in another domain. The Internal Name and Owning Organization will be updated with the information related to the current domain." Even if I enter OK, when I go to edit it again, the message comes back.

How can I tell what the domain name is that is tied to the layout?

How can I permanently update the layout so it is in the proper domain?

We have same problem.

Our system is upgraded from Windchill 9.0 to Windchill 11 by consulting firm. There is no such warning with Windchill 9.0. We have tested it with Chrome/Firefox/IE 11 on Windows 7, Server 2008R2, and Server 2016. All have same warning.

Any help will be appreciated.

This is a bug.  Our teams have created an SPR for this issue.

@JeffZemsky

Do you know if this bug has been resolved yet?
I have the a similar issue on 11.1 M020 CPS09.
If I create a soft type at Org level, I need to modify it at the site level or I will get the popup.

Has this been resolved?  The type was created and the org level and I am modifying at the org level yet receive this warning.  We are running Windchill 11.1 M020 CPS20.

Is this resolved in Windchill 12.0?
