Emails not going to User chosen for a Role inside of workflow

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS08

In my workflow, the email notification does not send an email to the user assigned to a role when that role is in the Recipients. I recently added a group also to that notification and the group gets it, but the user does not.

Here are the errors that I faced

This is a straight up email robot? Can you send a screen shot of the configuration? 

Sure can, here you go.  We assign the role during the task before email proxy.

I've been looking for that but it would never come up...

 

I have them in the Team, but I need to check the PBO access.  But am guessing that this is it.

@avillanueva I tried to be smart and it didn't seem to work.  I only set the Change Task to have Read access for the state that it was in when the email gets processed.  What am I missing?  Do I need to have all states at Read?  We are trying to avoid that so that users cannot see stuff before they should. Or do I also need to set the Change Notice?

The one thing that I did have to do was give the group and not the role access through the ACL.
