RE: Entity Relationship Diagram/Doc for windchill 7.0 oracle schema

Thanks Jesse. I am relatively new to Windchill. The questions that I am
trying to answer for myself might be seemingly trivial for the
experienced. Say for example, I wanted to know how many object
initialization rules are enabled on my windchill installation. From the
documentation that I have read, in order to find this out I will have to
go to the OIR administrator screen and click through site, org, product
and library levels/links to get the complete picture. It felt like if
the info is stored in the database and with good knowledge about their
relationships simple reusable scripts could be created to generate a
report which would give me a good snapshot of OIR. So I did some probing
around and came up with the attached sql query, it took me a couple
hours to figure out/guess the relations between the tables and that was
the whole premise for the request for ER/UML diagram.

Where can I find the HTML export of the UML?

Thanks
Vinod

Vinod,

You can use "Download Composite" from the OIR page. This gives you a
complete report of the OIRs for the container from which you launched
the page. For example, if I go to a Product's Utilities page and launch
the OIR Administrator, Download Composite shows me all the rules for
that particular Product with all its hereditary rules. If a rule at the
Site or Org level is overridden in the product, it only shows the
product rule.

Of course, you still need to execute this from each product/library, but
this at least shows you which rules are being applied without navigating
through the hierarchy and figuring out which rules are
inherited/overridden.

Best Regards,
Bill Palm

Hi All,

And the HTML version of model-dirgram is located at
WT_HOME\codebase\wt\clients\library\model
in case of Windchill 8.0

Thanks,
Nilesh
