Family Table Instance Showing Parts from Generic in Windchill Structure

Hello,

I'm having an issue in Windchill where verified family table instances are still showing the structure of the generic in windchill. Since these are linked with WT parts, extra components are building to the WT structure since Windchill seems to think that the correct structure for these instances is that of the generic.

Is there a way to refresh the structures for an entire family table in Windchill?

I have found that if I open each instance of a family table and save before checking in, that the Windchill structure of the instance reflects correctly in Windchill, however, isn't the point of verifying a family table that you don't need to open each instance?

Thank you.

We had the same issue; Creo 4.0 M050 and Windchill 11.

It was a generic assembly with patterns of generic parts:

generic assy

   - pattern1:

        - generic part1

        - generic part1

        - generic part1

   - pattern2:

        - generic part2

        - generic part2

        - generic part2

In each instance of the assembly, the generic parts are replaced by their respective instances.

In Creo we get:

assy instance A

   - pattern1:

        - instance A of part1

        - instance A of part1

        - instance A of part1

   - pattern2:

        - instance A of part2

        - instance A of part2

        - instance A of part2

However in Windchill we would get the following structure:

assy instance A

        - instance A of part1

        - generic part1

        - generic part1

        - instance A of part2

        - generic part2

        - generic part2

Seems as if the patterns were not fully regenerated, despite the family table being fully verified.

I "solved" it by checking out, verifying again and checking in.

Must be some bug where it's marked as "verified" but in fact it isn't...

Regards,

Johan
