File vault Manual sync

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020 CPS30

No of Cached files are not changed even after did a manual sync thru JConsole.

The cached files could be not referenced file anymore so the synchronization is not needed.

What does it mean by referenced files?..you mean referenced in any other Assembly ? We tried running the 

Go to JConsole > wt.method.Method Server Main* MBeans > com.ptc > Monitors > Cache Vault Synch > Operation > SysForceSync.

But still the cached files are not reduced.

You could use delete unreferenced files.

Yes we deleted the unreferenced files and deleted the orphaned items thru SQL: scripts and we are able to decommission the server now
