First baby steps with Intralink 9.1 - creating users

I just completed my first error-free out-of-the-box install test of Intralink 9.1 M020.

Or so I thought.

The first thing I tried to do was login as wcadmin and create a new user:
Site > Utilities > Principals Administrator

I created a new user without issue.
I then fired up the Windchill web page on a client PC, and was able to log in as the new user.
So far, so good.

Later on, back on the server, I started a new session as wcadmin again.
I was going to create another user, when I noticed that the first user was no longer listed.

So I went back to the client PC and started a new session, and logged is as user successfully again.

Obviously, I'm confused.
I go back to the server, and login as wcadmin once again.
For the fun of it, I try to create the same user, and am told that it already exists (in LDAP - Aphelion).
So, I try to Add the user.
The user is eixsts in LDAP, so I go ahead and select it and add it.
It's now in the windchill user list again.

And later on, it's gone again.

What am I missing?

Its still there. You have to add it the list in the principal admin to
see it. Add should be next to create.

The Add icon is used to add existing users to the table view in the
Principals Administrator.
You need to add the user to the table view to be able to view or edit
information.

Let me see if I've gotthis straight.
When I go to the users, it always come up initially blank, regardless of how many users I have.
I then need to click the Add button to add existing users to the list so that I can edit or delete them (or any other change).
I beleive this could have been implimented better, but I can live with it.
Now, here's my concern.
When I click the Add button, it brings up the LDAPsearch panel.
Currently, in my test installation, I am using the PTC-supplied LDAP, Aphelion.
So if I do the LDAP search with no criteria, I get a list of all LDAP users, which are also all Windchill users.
However, when we go production, I will be using Microsoft Active Directory (AD).
When I do that futureLDAP search, how can I ensure that only Windchill users are listed?

That's it. I like it better than the old search because you can append as many results to the working session as you want instead of having to do separate searches, each with a separate results screen. It really isn't dissimilar from any of the collectors in PDMLink where you click to add something, search forwhat you might want, multiselect what you want, and then add those selections to your original screen.
