Get number of files in master vault

Is there a way to get the total number of files resident in a vault via the Windchill API? I see there is a wt.fv.FvService class which may be used, however, the javadoc is sparse.

Do a queryspec on FvItem with no search condtions? From there you can
output folders etc.



Do you master remotely?



I got code for this but not handy.
