HTML5 Drag-n-Drop File Upload in Windchill 10.2_M020

During the January Windchill Solutions Technical Committee meetings, PTC demonstrated the new HTML5 drag-n-drop file upload utility coming with Windchill 10.2_M020. For those who could not attend, please take a look at the following videos on the Windchill Community.

This new capability will be introduced with Windchill 10.2_M020 and PTC expects to follow up in Windchill 10.2_M030 with a wider implementation that supports additionalobject types.

Can't wait for Windchill 10.2_M020? Try the built-in drag-n-drop features of Firefox and Chrome. I have noticed you can drag-n-drop files on almost any Browse, Upload or Add button in both Firefox and Chrome. Yeah, including Windchill. In fact, I dropped the attached image on the Add button in the PTC/USER portal while creating this message.

PS. Props to Jorn Hansen for bringing this up in the Windchill Community Idea titled "Remove all java applets in Windchill".
