Hide a global attribute

scenario- WTDocument has three subtypes say "1. referencedoc, 2. testing document".  Now I want to hide an attribute(say legacy type) created in WTDoucment level in "testing document" level whereas the attribute(legacy type) is visible in "reference doc".

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this using profiles in windchill?

I don't think you can do it from the profile, since both uses the same global attribute. You can remove it from the layout of the testing document

You can simply change the visibility and make it hidden from type manager for the particular subtype.
