How can I change a Commonspace object Revision No. back to a lower No.?

I have found some sheet-metal parts (with instances) that have mistakenly been set at a higher revision no. than the drawing.
They have leap-frogged from Rev 6 to 10, without using 7,8 or 9.
Is it possible (& safe) to set these back to the correct rev. using SQL without causing mayhem in commonspace?
And if so, how do I do this?

Thanks to all who replied, this is what most people recommended.
I've tried this and it worked without any problems in Ver. 3.4 M050:
1) Login to Intralink with administrator privileges.
2) Check out object for Revision change, including any assemblies that may use this part.
3) Call Assy into linked session of ProE.
4) Delete latest revision of Commonspace object.
5) Update 'out of date' object(s) in Intralink Workspace. (NOT ProE)
6) Force a Regen in ProE (edit a dimension and re-edit to orig value) and save to Intralink WS.
Note: Conflicts at time of saving can be over-ridden.
7) Set Object(s) to correct Revision in Intralink WS.
😎 Check-in objects back into Commonspace.

It is probably wise to Backup the object before deleting from CS in case of mishap.

One reply used a similar process to above but involved exporting from Database before deleting
from CS, and then re-importing again. I'm sure this would work as well.

So no need to use SQL to modify Oracle.
