How do I know I need to Synchronize?

A user was having trouble creating a new revision of a part. We tracked it down to the fact that the release level in his workspace was different than the release level in Commonspace. After synchronizing his workspace, he was able to proceed.

We have a status column for Out of Date, but a metadata change doesn't result in an out-of-date status. Is there a status column that tells you when your workspace needs to be synchronized?

In Pro/Intralink 3.4, the Compare Status column in your workspace tells you Moved, Renamed, Release level changed, etc., so you know that you have to perform a Sync with Commonspace. Haven't yet figured out how to get the same information in Pro/Intralink 9.1.
