How to assign choice for several parts in one action?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.2

How to assign choice for several parts in one action?

There is written:
1. select multiple parts and use the Edit >Edit Multiple Objects action;
2. select the parts for which you want to assign choices;
3. select Assign Item Choices from the Actions menu or from o toolbar action.

I'm stuck on the second point

yes, the same option set has been assigned.

This wizard is used to define only part attributes, not assigning the options. Based on the help I may be wrong 😄

Or preference has to exist that allow you to edit the options in this wizard.

It can also be connected with correct license group that allows you to do it in the edit multiple parts wizard 

Check the profile setting if there can be allowed this function or try to search in preference options. 

In my case I can use assign expression from structure to set the option.

you are right - this is the way how to assign choice to ONE part

If you select more parts - assign is not possible

But it is written that possibility of assigning choice for several parts in one action should be available

The document was created for Windchill 11.1 - should I treat this possibility as missed in 12.1??

What license group is your user assigned?

There can be some license restrictions on that in the Multiple Edit Wizard

Hi , just check that wizard , such action don't exit OOTB in the edit multiple Wizard :

For bulk assigning expression, the only way is to use LoadFromFile , see https://support.ptc.com/help/wnc/r12.1.1.0/en/index.html#page/Windchill_Help_Center/WCDataLoadGuide/WCDataLoad_OptionsLoadFilesToUpdateOptionsAndChoices.html

glad to hear from you again , I think this info is from the PTC University, the Windchill Help Center has no such info :

It is not possible by User interface

You need to use loadfromfile utility from Windchill Shell 

the help describes how to do so Using Load Files to Update Options and Choices
