How to find and break all references to an assembly?

How to find and break all references/dependencies to an assembly?

One of my users wants to remove a particular new component (an assembly) from his workspace. Actually, he wants to prevent that the component will be checked in along with another component. But we don't succeed 😞

Where are we now?:

- Reference Viewer > Dependencies in session is empty

I got one respons, thank you Tom, to upload all relevant objects. I hadn't the chance to verify this, when I return to the particular workspace, all objects were uploaded and the delete succeeded.

Regards and enjoy the weekend, Hugo.

Hello Hugo and happy new year.

Is it possible to share this solutions. I also some users who are facing this situation from time to time.

Thanks

Best regards

Of course, but I already did it. Tom replied to upload everything. Next day, I absolutely had no time to bother about this issue. The day after, in the morning I went immediately to the particular workstation, and simply deleted the new CADdocument from the workspace. Simple as that. It definitely didn’t work two days before. So it must have been the upload that was not OK.

Since we are on WF5, now, we have to learn to work with the new reference viewer. It enables you to break references and dependencies, when allowed. This case learned me that breaking is one thing, saving and uploading is the next condition to enable a deletion.

What I think that prevented the upload, is that the automatic upload (after a save) doesn't succeed in WF5 when somewhere in the assembly there is a component locally modified. We definitly have to care about locally modified content since we are in WF5.

Hope this helps, Regards and my best wishes as well!
