We currently have two divisions that each have their own Intralink database. There are plans in the future to migrate to just one database of some sort, but that will not happen very soon. For now, we need a way to coordinate between the two Intralinks. Parts are designed in one Intralink or the other, but they interface with parts that may be designed in the other Intralink. For example, in Intralink-1 we are designing hoods. In Intralink-2 we are designing radiators. Changes made in the hood, affect radiator clearances and vise-versa. For now, we've copied the hood from Intralink-1 into Intralink-2, but we don't know when changes are made and may be working with out of date models. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? How do you make sure that you are using the latest information?
