Ilink 3.4 training??

For those of you who have moved from Ilink 3.2 to 3.4 is there any need for
any type of training with this upgrade. We have been using 3.2 for several
years and I do not think we need any training with 3.4. Pro/E 2001 to
Wildfire 2.0 is a totally different story.

TIA

My company just purchased a few laptop workstations for use by our
engineers when traveling. Because we use FlexLM, I know that we will
have to use License Borrowing for these systems when they are not
connected to the network.

I have already received the new license pack and am going to upload the
new license tonight. However, I am not all that familiar with how
License Borrowing works. Or more specifically, the procedure for
checking in & out licenses. Can someone provide any information? I
tried the PTC website, but came up empty.

Ideally I would like for the option of borrowing a license to available
only to laptop users. As I don't want my desktop users to lock a
license when it is not in use. Is this possible?

Also, Is it possible for me (as the admin) to "recall" or bring back a
license that has been checked-out?

The procedure is very simple : you start <loadpoint>\bin\proe_borrow.bat. You enter the number of days you want to borrow a license, and there it is available for your workstation, off-line. There is a maximum of days you can enter (5 to 9), you can return licenses earlier, there is no procedure to check-in at the end ...

Return borrowed licenses early is not supported:

Last I checked you could only borrow Pro/E licenses and not Mechanica.
(Not that anyone asked but I thought that that might be good to know.)

The license file does have BORROW for the Mechanica modules.

But if I remember from the one time we did a borrow, only the Pro/E
licenses were borrowed.

Maybe something to look forward to in WF3?
